Since it has been so cold for so long, we have had to find creative ways to keep the girls busy. One day I was busy and the girls were getting a little restless. I suggested that they take some paper bags and make puppets. They grabbed some bags, ran upstairs to the play room and worked for a good hour or so. Here is what they came up with. They even had a little skit they performed for us. They even "helped" make one for McKenna.

So many comments so little time... Okay first- my kids came in stinky from outside too!! Maybe it is spring! Yes!
And also, so do you just keep crafting stuff like GLUE and such in your playroom? I am all for my children entertaining themselves, so I wanted to know exactly how that worked for you?
Hmmm I guess that's all for today;)
Very talented girls ... and adorable too!
Chelsie, No I DON'T keep craft stuff in the playroom. That's WAY too dangerous. Just the craft books. I have everything else downstairs in a closet. It's all in a craft organizer thing I got at Costco. It is 3 containers that stack on top of each other with dividers. I'm not so crafty so I don't need an entire room. It's also where I keep the markers and crayons. The box is up high so I have to get it for them which is sometimes a hassle but when they come downstairs to start doing something it reminds me that I need that box put up and so I can make sure they clean up when they are done. They also go and get in my fabric bins. Alexa came up with a fun idea which I just LOVED, when we lived in AR. They take card stock or one time we did a whole poster board and instead of just drawing or coloring they take my scraps of fabric and cut them into shapes and glue them on the paper to make a picture. i.e. Alexa took some cow looking fabric and cut it out the shape of a cow and then took red fabric and cut it out the shape of a barn and so on. They did a big poster of our family paying soccer and even made the ball with white fabric and glued on black squares. They cut out our clothes with the fabric too. I'm not creative but good thing my kids are. I actually think they do better when I'm not around being my controlling self. Their little minds just go.
OK I'm in a funk today! I need spring to come here! I'm really missing Arizona and fun we would be having outside this time of year.
Second, can I have Reece come over and make puppets...he wants to do crafts all day long and I'm so sick of the messes. He would be in heaven with your girls! Love how they turned out!
