I won! I Won! I Won! My dear friend Tina had this on her blog and I am now going to get a handmade item from Tina. She is so talented and I can't wait to see what she sends. The catch is now I have to do the same. But it's all worth it and a fun way for me to get to make something again. Here are the rules:
1. Be one of the first THREE bloggers to leave a comment on this post, which then entitles you to a handmade item from me (yeah for handmade!).
2. If you are one of the first three to make a comment, you are a winner! And you then agree to post this challenge on your own blog, meaning that you will pay it forward, creating a handmade gift -anything!- for the first THREE bloggers who leave a comment on YOUR post about this giveaway!
3. The gift that you send to your 3 friends can be from any price range and you have 365 days to make/ship your item. This means you should be willing to maintain your blog at least until you receive your gift and have shipped your gifts. And, remember it’s the spirit and the thought that count!
4. When you receive your gift, blog about it! If you are not one of the first three to comment on this post, you can still play along. Go ahead and start your own Pay It Forward chain, and encourage your blogging friends to do the same! It's all about paying it forward.Enjoy!!!!!!!!

Alexaism's
We just love Alexa. Our home just wouldn't be complete with out this girl. She makes us laugh. She also makes us think and inspires us often with her knowledge and love of the gospel. I always thought that after a while your kids stop saying funny things. Well, I was wrong. Alexa comes up with some pretty good ones.
2. The other night we were talking about books (of course) and Alexa was commenting on how she thinks that Fiction should mean what Non-Fiction means. She thinks that they are backwords. I told her that I remember thinking that as a kid. I always thought that Fiction was real and I really had to think about it to get it straight. I still do sometimes. Her response to me was, "Yeah, That's pretty much how life is - you think it should be one thing and it's something else." - how deep.
3. Tonight before dinner Tim was telling Olivia and Maya to go wipe their noses - they seem to be running non-stop these days. We were telling them to make sure to wipe them as soon as they feel like they are running (which is funny in and of itself, because doesn't that just seem like common sense to wipe your nose when it runs?) Anyway, Alexa pipes up with, "Yeah, I don't do that, I never let my nose go unattended."

Olivia's Birthday!
Oops! I forgot to post about Livie's Birthday. Since we had such a celebration at her Baptism (the day after Thanksgiving) we played it low key for the actual birthday. We had our fun cousin's come, of course. We did the usual - open presents and then have dessert which was not cake because with all these birthdays in our family all at the same time we all are SICK of cake.
Here's cute Olivia in front of her door and opening her present that Alexa made for her.
Here she is on her new scooter! I think everyone took a turn on it and her cousins taught her some sweet moves to do on it.
The best thing we did (I thought) was we took all the kids halloween candy (only choc. bars, of course) and crushed them up. We softened some ice cream and mixed in all the candy bars. Then we put it in a graham cracker pie crust and put it in the freezer to set. It was great getting rid of all that candy and we didn't have to have cake.
