The Ordinary Opiner: A Rush to Judgement

Check out this letter that my brother wrote. He's a great writer. If I could express myself as well, this is exactly what I would want to say. Great job, Bart!

Maya's 6th Birthday!

Better late than never, is my motto these days. Here is Maya on her 6th Birthday. The camera just loves this girl. This was Maya's first "friend" birthday party. Since her birthday is so close to Christmas I have been able to convince her to do different things for her birthday. I started feeling too guilty so decided to do a party. We had a great time. 8 little girls and me. It was after school so Tim was at work. Alexa was my photographer which was really helpful. We had a chef party. The girls made their own pizza's on english muffins and then decorated their own cupcakes.

Here's Maya in her Chef's hat.

The girls decorating their place mats.
We played a game where the girls were blindfolded and had to scoop these marshmallows with a big serving spoon into their bowl while blindfolded.
Maya blindfolded.
All the party girls.
All the party girls with Alexa and Olivia
McKenna and Maya
It wouldn't be a party without the Gibb cousins. They came over for the "after" party. Really, can this girl get any cuter? She is so much fun. She loves everyone and it seems that everyone loves her - I don't think she would let you have a choice.
Look at this handsome boy. We sure miss these guys.Maya let Aunt Roberta know that all she wanted was a swim baby for her birthday and that's exactly what Aunt Roberta got her. These were the sunglasses that came with the doll. McKenna thought she'd look cool with them on. What a party girl.

Why I was blessed with girls!

(This post is for my mom.)

I love my dear husband. He is so good to me and to our 4 daughters. He helps me with whatever I ask, he cooks dinner for us (OFTEN), he goes along with almost every idea I have for the house. BUT, he is like most men and is not as detailed as I would like when sharing information. Example:
After a phone conversation with his parents:
Me: How's your mom and dad?
Tim: Good.
Me: What did they have to say?
Tim: I don't know.
Me: Well, I heard you say this "----", what did they say after that?
Tim: I can't remember.

Now, Tonight Alexa talked to her Uncle Dave, cousin, Landon and Grandpa Gibb. Here is how our conversation went:
Me: What did Uncle Dave say?
Alexa: He said, "---" and then I said, "---" and then he said, "---". And then Landon got on the phone and he said, "---" and then I said, "---" - you get the idea.

I LOVE these girls. I see many late nights of listening to their conversations being replayed by them in our future. I can't wait.
