I had this thought for this post many months ago (Christmas Time) and am finally getting around to posting. I really do think about this blog more than once a month. These are just a few fung things that the girls have enjoyed doing and I've enjoyed watching them. I am so grateful they play "farely" well together with only a few mishaps.
We tried something new this year for Christmas. The girls wanted to string cranberries. This was the first and last year for this little tradition. Way too much work when you can go to Michael's and get some fake ones for the same price as the real ones - and re-use them next year. Nevertheless, these girls worked hard (along with mom and Dad) to string almost enough for the whole tree.

Here is me trying to be a real photographer. This is my stellar picture of the cranberries.
One evening after dinner the girls came in to work on a little Advent Calendar for Christmas. It was such a sweet sight to see them looking up scriptures, not to mention that they helped Maya look them up also. Did I mention that I just LOVE these girls?
As long as we live here in our ward, we will always have church at 9am. It's no fun having to get up (especially when I have meetings at 7:30am) but after church we have the whole day. While McKenna naps (and sometimes Mom and Dad) the girls have "Quiet Time". They either go in their own rooms and read or they go in the playroom and play quietly. One of their favorite things to do is play Animal Primary. They get all their stuffed animals and well, have primary. They have singing time, sharing time, and give talks for middle exercises. I love that they are so creative.

Here's Maya giving her talk. They use the pictures from the Gospel Art Kit. As you can see, the talk was on Joseph Smith's first vision.

Here is Alexa doing Sharing Time.

Here is how Tim enjoys his time with the girls. I think we have a picture like this with every girl when they were about this age.

One night Maya wanted to make "place cards" for everyone. As you can see the first one says, Mommy and I love you. She wrote I love you on all of them. The next picture is of her place card - as you can see it says "I Love Me." This girl is so confident, I love it.

Too cute. It is so fun to watch the creativity. I used to play church with my stuffed animals and my cat. The cat did not always cooperate though.
As I have said before, I love hearing and seeing things about the family and especially the girls. It helps me feel like they are closer and I can watch them as they grow.
Thanks for such a neat post--makes me feel closer to the girls. I can only add that they are definitely a reflection of great parenting. Such a blessing.
So sweet. Isn't it great to see the ladies using their imaginations? Plus, you get a nap! It's a win-win!
Sweet little update! They are always up to something good and creative Love them!
Give the girls a hug for me. Give Skinny Timmy a kick in the butt for me too!
Ahhh... This post is a beautiful reflection of how you and Tim parent. It reminds me that with all of my efforts, there may be results one day ;).
Thanks for taking time out of your busy schedule to update!
