OLIVIA TURNED 13!
Seriously, I am secretly thrilled to have another teenager in the house. I know people complain about teenagers but so far I am a big fan. Yes, there are struggles but for the most part it is so fun to just talk to them. Listen to them tell me about their friends, their frustrations, school, activities, etc. Watching their testimonies grow and guiding them to be more independent - ok that parts kinda hard. But all in all, I enjoy it. Olivia is growing up to be such a sweetheart. I don't know anyone that doesn't like her. I can't tell you how many people come up to me and tell me what a sweet girl she is and how wonderful she is. And I just have to agree. She is growing into a fine young woman. We are so glad to have her in our family. I love her tender smile.
Instead of decorating her door this year we decided to put balloons up against her door so when she opened it they would all fall in at her. (Almost a Pinterest fail. It worked but hard to put together.)
She asked for cinnamon rolls and of course that's what she got.
I love that she's excited about a simple book that she asked for. So grateful all the time.
I know it's blurry but look at this face of excitement over a cup!
And who doesn't LOVE hand sanitizer? I love this face!
