I am sure that you all have seen a lot of news about the protesting of Prop 8 in CA. I just saw this on another blog and thought I'd post it. It is amazing to me that those that want tolerance have so little of it. These people are so hateful. I'm sure not everyone that voted No is this way but with all the protesting going on, it makes me wonder.

Oh I just love the part were the anchorman said "as you can see there is hate on both sides" what ? were we watching the same video?
I was going to leave this comment for you Casey... but now it is even more fitting following Anna Lynne's above comments.
My husband, who you would LOVE to talk politics with, emailed that anchorman and said something like this: (well, exactly like this... I got my husband's permission to quote his emails.)
"You owe viewers an apology. You said there were haters on both sides after
viewing the video of the gay rights activists threatening, spitting and
tearing the cross away from the elderly woman.
The hate was on ONE SIDE there, Kris. How dare you try to marginalize the
hate of Prop. 8 opponents by saying there was hate on both sides. Or do you
equate an opinion different than your own to mean hate."
To which the anchorman, Kris Long replied:
"Brett,
Thanks for sharing your thoughts. I have given considerable time to
thinking about Friday's unfortunate event and how it was covered on KPSP
Local 2 News. I stand by our coverage and any and all statements that
expressed the heated feelings of both sides.

To which my husband replied:
"Kris ~
If that is your "Best" you are sorely lacking in judgement.
You fail to validate your comment regarding "both sides" showing hate. Where might I ask was the hate on the other side? Or are you just pandering to your large gay audience in Palms Springs?

To which he got no further reply.

Thanks for pointing that out you guys. I was so frustrated with the way the protesters were acting I didn't even notice the anchorman's comments. I love that Brett questioned him. Figures there would be no reply. Glad to hear that you all are working so hard. You guys are true modern day pioneers out there.
Dang I can't see it! BUT from what I have seen I am disgusted with how they are acting. Why is it that you never see conservatives protesting so hatefully??
