I am sure you all know what has come of Super Tuesday. Not what we wanted. I was pretty upset. Not because I think of it as a competition and we lost but more like the Country has lost. The thought of a democrat in office makes me very nervous. Here are a few reasons I have come up with.
1. Pulling out of the war early.
2. Not making the tax cuts permanent.
3. Raising taxes
4. Universal Healthcare
5. Raising taxes
6. Making Pre-K manditory
7. Raising taxes
8. No secure borders
9. Raising Taxes
After Tuesday I was convinced that I would NOT vote for McCain because, well, he's as close to a democrat as they come. But I have had a change of heart. That Mitt Romney has done it again. I was all for his plan to stay in the race along with a lot of people but much doubt of him winning. He gave an incredible speech. I wasn't completely convinced by Romney that I should vote for McCain. He did influence me when he said that he thought it would be better for the country because of the war. We would need McCain over the Clinton's or Obama to not pull out of the war early. What really put me over the top though was when I heard that Romney was planning to stay in the race after Super Tuesday and when he sat down to write his CPAC speech he felt like he needed to drop out. I don't know about you but that was telling me that he was listening to the Spirit and being guided to do so. So, I guess what I am saying is that I am seriously considering voting for McCain now and I hope that you would all consider what Romney has said about it and make your own prayerful decision.
Ok! I think this is it for my political soapbox. I just had to swallow my pride here and get this out. It will be back to fun family stuff from now on. Although, I did enjoy all the comments. Thanks everyone.

I know! When i heard he was pulling out i was afraid for you. I thought you were letting depression set in and we wouldn't hear from you for awhile. I pretty much decided if Romney wasn't the canidate then i wouldn't be voting at all however you have opened my eyes a bit. I will at least keep an open mind about things. And yes, I too am very afraid for this country. I don't like thinking about it. Anyway, thanks for thinking of me at Cosco. I sure wish we had one here. i don't think they are allowed in the state of Ar.
I totally agree. I just get bummed thinking that for sure one of the three (Obama, Clinton, McCain) will be pres. No other options. :(
At this point I guess it's just the lesser of three evils. However, given a choice, it's McCain every time. Obama holds the distinction of most liberal in the senate--his appeal is scary. Hillary is almost as bad. Once they give us all the things they're talking about, the country will be bankrupt! I keep telling Dad we better spend all our money now before the government takes it from us. (He doesn't seem completely convinced--yet). At least with McCain, we'll get a better end to the war--not a pull-out--and much better judges on the supreme court--at least two appointments. That alone is HUGE. Those two things are enough for me.
Okay, so you wonder where Casey gets it?
Thanks mom for the comments. I couldn't have said it better myself. And thanks for the genes. I was just told today by a friend of mine that she thinks I am outspoken and told me it was a compliment. Imagine that. Who would have known that this girl that the neighbors thought couldn't talk would someday be told that she's outspoken. Funny.
I totally felt the same way during Romney's speech. Although I am depressed he is a wise man to do what he did and I think he had lots of help. Stinky MCCain & HUCKAFLY!! I know I'm still bitter! I will vote for McCain though in the end.
I'm not into politcs and that kind of thing. But I loved reading all the politics on peoples blogs. I have a couple of other friends whose blogs looked like yours about the election. So, when I heard about him dropping out, I instantly thought of you, and wondered how you would take it. Sorry for the bad news. :) It's more fun to sit and watch people like you get worked up anyways. ha ha. Love you!
