After a little convincing, Tim got me to agree to take a trip out to CA for Christmas. I'm so glad we did. We had a great time. We started Christmas Eve off by going out to dinner at The Whole Enchilada (a family favorite.) Stew, Kristine, and their kids and of course the Grandparents came too. We'd never gone to dinner for Christmas Eve but I highly recommend it. No cooking and no clean up. Nice and relaxing after all the time we had to take to prepare for the trip - packing, wrapping, making gifts, practicing for the Christmas music program, etc. I don't know if we'll ever go out to eat for Christmas Eve again but it was a nice change and fun idea.
Are these cousins cute or what?
And the "Older" end of the table.
Bunny ears never get old.
After dinner was the traditional open one gift on Christmas Eve time. Abuela got the girls some new jammies. The Van Buskirk cousins got to open some too.
McKenna lovin' her some pink.
Does this guy look happy to have a houseful of kids?

You can definitely tell who the ham is in this family.
And the bigger ham!
It's Pajama Time!
One last special gift for the night. Maya has been missing the snow now that we are in Tucson. Seriously going through withdrawals. We tried to help her feel less homesick by giving her a can of snow. Look at the joy on her face.

Amazing to see how much all those little cousins have grown--Not too many little ones anymore. Too cute and having so much fun.
Hello! Yes, I am still alive! LOL! The little boys just turned 2... needless to say it has been a long 2 years and yet it has flown by so fast. My sister has been on my case to blog. Can you believe I've had an iphone for 9 months and just figured out I could blog from it! I set Brett up on it too so he is posting too now (anything to spread the chores!) I work PT from home still so anytime I get on the computer is real work! I will try to get my blog caught up! I've been feeling a huge desire to do Family History work and I have just recently realized that it is not my geneology... it is my current, living, breathing family. You know, those pictures of the triplet's birth that I haven't even downloaded onto my computer yet! (Brett has them on his!) So I will try to blog more!
Btw, looking forward to your posts/thoughts on the election! You and Brett would get along so great!
Wow. Your ladies get more beautiful everytime I check in. How can Maya be 9? And Olivia 11? They are looking so grown up.
Can't exoress how much fun we had. We don't get together enough.
