For the past 14 or 15 years Tim has had a goatee. Last month he recieved a new calling at church and for him to serve in that calling he had to shave. It was quite a big deal in our house since the girls don't really know what he looks like without it. So we of course we had to take this opportunity to document the experience.

All the girls had a hard time looking at him and McKenna was a little afraid for a while but it didn't take long to warm back up to him. I had a hard time looking at him without laughing - not because he looked funny, I just think he looks like a little boy now.

What calling??
He was called into the High Priest Group. He's the 2nd Assistant. He wasn't a High Priest at the time so we were a little surprised at the call.

I guess Stuart is a rebel because he has been a high priest for the last two years while in the bishopric and now the Stake Young men's presidency and he's still sporting his! Did they ask him to shave it? He looks good without it!
Yes, they asked him to shave. He wasn't surprised and was fine with it. When we were in AR and he was EQ pres. our Stake president was really stricked about it but never asked Tim to shave. He was glad though.
He looks great with a VanDyke (not a goatee) or without. High Priest? You are officially old. AARP here you come!
I just caught up on your most recent blog posts. How does it feel to be back in AZ? I am little jealous that you've lived in so many places. I've only lived in Chino and Provo. Snoozer. Best of luck with getting settled!
