We just love Alexa. Our home just wouldn't be complete with out this girl. She makes us laugh. She also makes us think and inspires us often with her knowledge and love of the gospel. I always thought that after a while your kids stop saying funny things. Well, I was wrong. Alexa comes up with some pretty good ones.
1. One day we were driving home (all the girls, myself and cousin Hayden.) As we drove into the neighborhood Hayden commented, "These houses all look alike." Alexa responded with, "That's because they are Project Homes." (I had to remind her that they were "track" homes and that I hope we never live in project homes.)
2. The other night we were talking about books (of course) and Alexa was commenting on how she thinks that Fiction should mean what Non-Fiction means. She thinks that they are backwords. I told her that I remember thinking that as a kid. I always thought that Fiction was real and I really had to think about it to get it straight. I still do sometimes. Her response to me was, "Yeah, That's pretty much how life is - you think it should be one thing and it's something else." - how deep.
3. Tonight before dinner Tim was telling Olivia and Maya to go wipe their noses - they seem to be running non-stop these days. We were telling them to make sure to wipe them as soon as they feel like they are running (which is funny in and of itself, because doesn't that just seem like common sense to wipe your nose when it runs?) Anyway, Alexa pipes up with, "Yeah, I don't do that, I never let my nose go unattended."

Casey, I love you stories about the girls. As we are so far away and see them so seldom, I feel closer to them and see how they are growing. Thanks for sharing. Lynn
I think this is so funny! It is also comforting to think Tyler won't grow out of it as fast as I believe. I miss my baby sometimes. Sometimes!
Love those stories. Such a darling girl. I think she needs to come and spend a few days at Grandma's so I can experience all that wisdom first hand.
Man, I miss that girl! She is so funny and Hayden misses her lots. As for visiting G'ma, she'll just have to wait in line. We already have dibbs on her for a visit here. Give those girls a hug and kiss for me.
Hey, looks like Dave's email was up when I left my comment. I'm sure he feels the same way but I just wanted to make sure I was heard.
Yah and remember when she used to sniff bread??
She is truly one of a kind! I love that girl!
I love the ism's! I don't know how I keep forgetting the ones I hear every day - I need to be better at writing them down so I can be a good blogger like you ; )
